The Pipehorn 800-H Utility Locator P800 offers a high 480 kHz frequency for tracing live, yet weak electrical signals. The Pipehorn 800-H can also detect pipes or cables of a short length. Two operating modes make it possible for construction professionals to use their utility locator for a variety of jobs. Dual sense confirmation, adjustable sensitivity, auto shut-off, and long battery life are some other features you will appreciate. And durable, waterproof construction keeps the 800-H accurate especially while estimating the depth of buried utilities.
Two Operating Modes
The Pipehorn 800-H has an inductive mode and a conductive mode. With the inductive mode, the transmitter for your utility locator induces a high frequency signal to locate the underground utility. With the conductive mode, you can connect the transmitter directly to the cable with a signal clamp in order to transmit the signal.
Audio and Visual Confirmation
While locating your utility, the Pipehorn 800-H provides constant feedback via an audio speaker and meter. An audible tone emits from the speaker as long as the 800H is on. The pitch becomes higher when a strong signal is detected and lower when the signal is weak. The meter, located just in front of the handle, has a needle that moves left or right according to the signal strength as well.
Useful Features
An easily accessible knob on the side of the 800-H lets you adjust the sensitivity. And the auto shut-off function turns the utility locator off after five minutes without use to preserve your battery.
Long Battery Life
The Pipehorn 800-H utility locator runs on two 9-volt alkaline batteries and lasts for 45 hours. The transmitter runs on eight C alkaline batteries and lasts for 40 hours.
Durable and Waterproof for Accuracy
Durable construction and an IP rating of 67 help the 800-H withstand rough and wet conditions. So, you can rely on the Pipehorn’s performance in any surrounding.
800-H Package
With this package, you will also receive conductive cables, an extension sweep handle, ground stake, case, manual, and 3-year warranty.
