The Placom Digital Planimeter is designed to provide accurate area measurements from 2-dimensional maps of large irregularly shaped areas.  It is equipped with a roller wheel for expanded range, an internal microprocessor, digital readout and a wide variety of features to efficiently gather detailed information about large bodies of water, curved borders, and other landscapes.  The measurements are very precise and the device is easy to use. It is accurate to +/- 0.2 percent and allows a wide range of cumulative measurements both vertically and horizontally.  This digital scaling and mapping device is ideal for those that work in surveying, civil engineering, mapmaking, forest management, or agriculture.

As an upgrade to the Placom 45C, this digital planimeter offers the ability to measure extremely large area.  Its 6-digit pulse count allows for an accumulation of measurements for an area up to 33 feet (10 meters).  However, you this tool is capable of analyzing a maximum of 1 foot (325 millimeters) vertically and 98 feet (30 meters) horizontally.

The Placom Roller Type Digital Planimeter's accuracy of +/-0.2 percent is within 2/1000 pulses.  As a result, the readout you see is extremely precise and very reliable.  Use it for estimates, reports, project planning, verification, and any other important task.
