The Rino 650 combines a 5-Watt FRS/GMRS radio with a 2.6” glove-friendly color touchscreen GPS plus a barometer altimeter, 3-axis compass, and NOAA weather radio. It also features a Micro SD card slot for loading TOPO U.S. 24K maps or BlueChart® g2 preloaded cards.

Combine the navigational capabilities of a full-featured, WAAS-enabled, 12-channel parallel GPS receiver with the reliable communication power of a 22-channel FRS/GMRS radio and you get the Garmin Rino! This unique combination allows for peer-to-peer position reporting using the FRS spectrum to transmit your exact location to another Rino within a 2-mile radius. Two-way radio transmits on FRS channels (1-14) for a range of up to 2 miles, and on GMRS channels (15-22) for a range of up to 20 miles depending on model (see specs) with 38 sub-audible squelch codes for semi-private conversation. Each model has a trip computer with speed tracking, sunrise/sunset readout, trip timer, and trip distance.
